Cadillac Repair: Window wont work, cadillac deville, switch assembly

Question
I have a 98 Cadillac Deville and my front drivers side window wont work. I rolled it down the other day and it stopped working. I need to at least get it back up until I can take it to be repaired. The switches for all the other windows work just fine. Is there any way to get the window back up without having to go to the shop? I appreciate all your help. My wife is boiling mad and it's 35 degrees, so I gotta get this fixed asap.

Answer
If you can hear the electric window motor running as you push the UP or DOWN button then the window has most likely fallen out of the channels.

If you CANNOT hear the windoe motor running the fault is most likely in the switch itself I can e-mail you an electrical schematic on how to remove the complete switch assembly and test the switch and jumper the wires so you can get the window up.
