Cadillac Repair: 85 Deville no start warm, pressure gage, pickup coil

Question
Recently brought to mechanic, and he changed the plugs/tune up.  Intermitant start problem persists.

Starts cold fine.  After driving and parked warm, no ignition occasionaly.  Fuel pump making noise so I don't think its the fuel pump.

Change the O2 sensor next?

Answer
Put a fuel pump pressure gage on the fuel line and make sure the pressure is 10 psi.

The mid-80's Cadillac's were prone to:

1. Ignition module failure.
2. Ignition coil failure.
3. Pickup coil failure.

When the engine was HOT. I can e-mail you all the test procedures for the ignition system to check the above components when they are having this problem. Contact me at: onlineautohelp@msn.com
