Cadillac Repair: 1989 5.0 Delegance defrost and heat, metal arm, time scott

i can no longer turn on my defrost the only thing on my climate contrl that works is HI but blows hot air only for a minute. inside glovebox, there is a circuit board that has an armature on it to open a shutter. it is acting like the arm is stripped out, could that whole unit need to be repaced? it clicks and stuff when HI is off. Or could the button cluster be bad? the defrost LED doesent light up anymore. and i cant turn up the WArmer button. is the cars "brain" in the same area?  thanks i appreciate your time    scott

The controller behind the glove box with the metal arm is at fault . It is called an ECC PROGRAMMER and it needs to be replaced and ADJUSTED PRIOR TO USAGE. Contact me at: onlineautohelp for pictures and directives BEFORE you use it or you will strip the gears in the new PROGRAMMER.
