Cadillac Repair: 1993 Cadillac Deville 4.9, cadillac deville, starter switch

Question
I am having problems figuring out what's wrong with the 1993 Cadillac Deville 4.9L.  The car won't start, turn over,  or even click when trying to start it.  All the dash indicators come on as if it is ready to start but when you turn the key back absolutely nothing happens.  Changed the battery, check the cables, had the started tested and it is good.  I can start the car from underneath the hood but it won't stay started.  I have been told that it could be the switch in the steering column.  Then a repair shop told me that it could be the anti-theft mechanism in the switch. HELP!!!!!!  Any ideas?

Answer
If the anti-theft was the problem you would get a warning lamp on the dash. You most likely have a faulty neutral starter switch mounted on the steering column. If you want and can read and electrical schematic I can e-mail you one. Contact me at:
