My 1998 cadillac catera is not firing the #1 spark plug. I have traced through the ignition wire to the coil pak and there is no fire at the #1 station on the coil pak. Since the expense is great, I don't want to start replacing parts until the problem is solved. HELP!

Answer
Since all the coil packs are identical, swich them and see if the miss moves to a different spark plug. If it does, You have a faulty coil pack. It it does NOT, You will need the use of an advanced diagnostics scanner in order to diagnose the fault.
