Cadillac Repair: 2000 Cadillac Eldorado Losing MPG, cadillac eldorado, crank sensor

My eldorado went from 17 to 18 mile per gallon in gas to 12.5, when the service soon light came on, i had it check out and the crank sensor was replaced, I am still receiving 12.5 mpg in gas, what to I need to do to correct this

Take a look at a couple of the spark pligs and see if they are carbon (BLAC) deposits on them. If so, replace them. If there IS carbon deposits on the plugs then there is most likely carbon deposits on the oxygen sensors and possibly causing an EGR passage restriction.

Did they CLEAR (erase) the code from the computer when they mounted the new crank sensor ?.
