Question -
1992 cadillac deville with 250,000 miles.  The climate control will not redistribute the air flow to the appropriate venting system.  Having the A/C run in hot weather -- the air flow is directed through all the vents including the defroster.  Regardless of the temperature setting and regardless if it is heat or air conditioning, the vents do not change anymore.  There must be a  control valve or relay not operating correctly.  The A/C is cold and heat is hot -- system works OK just the venting is not being controlled as it should.  Can I (a novice) fix this? and how?  Thanks

Answer -
Is most of the air going to the defroster vents at the windshield ?.

tom

Most of the air is going to the defroster vents -- yes.
