Cadillac Repair: A/C vent problem, cadillac sedan deville, center vents

Question
1989 Cadillac Sedan DeVille 4.5 liter

I bought my 1989 Sedan DeVille several months back.  At the time of purchase I had flickering of the displays; air would come out of the defroster vents, then the center vents, etc.  I changed the BCM and everything was fine, but when I put the A/C on, only hot air would blow and only from the defroster and floor vents. I manually disconnected the damper linkage to cut off the heating coil and allow the cooling air, but it still only comes out of the floor and defroster vents.  Also, I have no computer codes.

Is it a problem with the climate control box that the damper is connected to, or can you guide me accordingly?

Thanks,
Paul
