Cadillac Repair: alternator prob, cadillac sedan deville, battery cables

Question
Hows it goin? I have an 87 Cadillac sedan deville with a charging prob. So i just bought a new alternator, new battery, new terminals and it was running and charging fine for the last week. then while driving it all of a sudden my radio turned off. didnt turn back on either. so i went to my destination and 6 hours later i got back in and the radio worked fine. no problem, thought that was weird, went home. next day i get in my car and the turn signals will turn on but they wont blink untill like a minute later, a problem i had when i first found out that the altenator wasnt charging unless i had a full battery. this made me remember what happened last time and i tested with a multimeter. battery read at 11.20 v and it was still fluctuating up to about 11.6 or so. so when i went to drive it this morning it was having trouble turning over. so i tested it again and this time the alternator wasnt working at all. are there any computers or regulators that would have somthing to do with this problem? im at a loss.
thanks
ryan

Answer
Check and tighten all your BLACK WIRE ground wires in back of the battery that ground to the body of the vehicle. If this does not resolve your problem, remove the alternator and have it tested as there is no computer system that is connected to the charging system. Check all around your vehicle for loose and or corroded black ground wires.

I would STRONGLY suggest that you REPLACE both battery cables as they tend to corrode under the insulation.
