Cadillac Repair: driver side radiator fan not working ?, radiator fan, fan motor

deville 1989 V8
piece of plastic was stuck in the engine cooling fan and Stop Engine light went on. Removed plastic and the Stop Engine light comes on intermittently. The fan works occasionally, goes on and off at random. How do I check the electrical system or thermostat to fix this problem?

Checked fuses and fan motor, all good.

There is a dozen things that it could be from relays, BCM, fan motor, sensors, etc, etc.
