Cadillac Repair: Hard right turn = engine stall, fuel pressure gage, cadillac sedan deville

Question
1992 Cadillac Sedan DeVille 4.9L

When I have 5 or less gallons of gas (per display) and I make a sharp right turn, the engine will stall out and/or stumble and come back to life. Left turns are no problem. Clogged fuel filter perhaps?

THANKS!

Russell

Answer
I doubt it. What you need to do is attach a fuel pressure gage to the fuel line and tape it to the outside of the windshield and go drive the car and make your turns and see if the fuel pressure drops. If it does you may have a bare wire at the fuel tank or along the frame and as the body shifts it grounds out the wire and stops the fuel pump for a split second.
