Question -
My car will not start or crank. All the inside lights come on and power windows and locks work. I have had this problem in this past and if you let it sit for a while it would start now it wont. Here are the codes I got via the method of holding down the off and warmer buttons.

8.8.8
..E
E52
. 7.0

What do these mean?

Answer -
888 = this just means that you are accessing the computer diagnostics and that all the digits on the display are working.

E = this is where your ECM computer would show fault codes if there were any they would display.

E52 = you disconnected the battery at some time.

70 = a procedure to test the cruise control circuits and to go into further disgnostic within the computer.

Since all you have is E52. You have NO fault codes.
