Cadillac Repair: a/c 1996 cadi Eldorado, minuits, auto button

Question
I just replace one of the a/c lines, however I cann't get the compressor to go on, the info panel says a/c comp off...how do I get it to go on

Hi Hector, After you have pulled the sytsem into a vacuum for 15-20 minuits to get rid of the moisture and added at least 1 pound of freon all the codes need to be cleared from the ACP computor.

   To do that turn the key on so the climate control panel lights up, press the off and warmer buttons and hold them for 5 seconds or until the display changes and goes into diagnostics. When it shows PCM? push the low fan button until ACP? is displayed and then push the high fan button. Continue to push low fan until you get clear codes? and then push the high fan button. Codes cleared should display and then you turn off the key to exit diagnostics. Start the engine and push the auto button and the compressor should engage and you can install the rest of the freon or test it for being cold enough.
