Cadillac Repair: How to reset codes on cadilac, number combinations, dash flashes

The codes are as follows:P026-History,P041-History,P043-Current,P045-History,P048-Current,P052-History,I039-History. This is all the codes that came up.

Question -
I have a 1994 Cadilac Sedan Deville, 4.9 liter V-8. The check engine light is on and the digital dash flashes, (Service Ride Control). How can I reset these. The car runs great and rides great. It was a gift and I don't have the cash to fix everthing that goes wrong with it.

Answer -
Follow this procedure:

1. Ignition ON, Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons until the whole display illuminates  and release the buttons.

3. Write down all the LETTER/NUMBER combinations that appear until the display stops at PCM? Turn OFF ignition.


4. Let me know what the codes are .

OK, Now lets CLEAR the codes and see which ones come back.

1. Ignition ON, Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons until the whole display illuminates  and release the buttons.

3. Write down all the LETTER/NUMBER combinations that appear until the display stops at PCM?

4. Push and release the high button (fan speed UP) and wait til you see PCM DATA?

5. Continously push and release the LO button until you see PCM CLEAR CODES?

6. Push and release the HI button Where you will see PCM CODES CLEAR and wait 3 seconds for the codes to clear.

7. Turn oFF ignition and drive the car several miles and see if the check engine light comes back ON.

8. If it does, Repeat the sequence:


1. Ignition ON, Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons until the whole display illuminates  and release the buttons.

3. Write down all the LETTER/NUMBER combinations that appear until the display stops at PCM? Turn OFF ignition.
