Cadillac Repair: 1989 Cadillac Eldorado, cadillac eldorado, fuel mileage

I am a college student purchasing my first car.  Interested in an '89 Eldorado.  Need something safe and reliable to commute about 40 miles roundtrip to school everyday.  I like this car.  What concerns should I have as I consider purchasing?

I hope you have DEEP pockets because Cadillacs are very costly to repair and seem to constantly require repairs and get terrible fuel mileage.

If your going to buy this vehicle buy a motorcycle also cause you will be riding your motorcycle more than the car.
