Hi,    I have had my 98 DeVille for about 3 years and it has been great.  About a year ago, my rear air shocks seemed to start providing less and less support.  The back end of my 98 DeVille was riding very low and I took it to the dealer for repair.  They said that the air compressor was working properly and that my car was riding low because I had too much weight in the trunk (about 150 lbs of video equipment). I found that hard to believe because after all, 150 lbs is still less than the weight of 1 adult passenger and a car like this should be able to support 5 passengers and a full trunk without scraping the bottom everytime I go over a speed bump.  (I think the dealer just didn t want to do the proper repair because the shocks were still under warranty from some previous work they had done a few months earlier and they wouldn t have made any money by fixing the problem.  I should have insisted but I had no way of knowing if I had any right to insist if indeed I was carrying too much weight).  So I stopped carrying the load in the trunk and my back end still rides low and scrapes speed bumps when I go over them.      Do you have any advice as to how I can go about finding the root of the problem?  If it has to do with the electronic leveling system or some other complicated expensive repair, is there a kit available that I could install to bypass all the electronics and just manually pump up my 98 DeVille air shocks?

Does the vehicle have ROAD SENSING SUSPENSION ?. Look on the big white sticker either in the glove box or in the trunk for the options sticker and see if it has this letter numer sequence.
