I have an 87 Cadillac Deville that runs OK 95% of the time.  It starts strong but it idles a little rough.  about 5% of the time when I stop at a stop sign or corner to turn, when I push down on the gas to accelerate the car starts to go then looses power and acts like it is going to stall.  I have only actually had it die twice.  It typically takes right off after a second or two.

I also had electrical issues (the car is older and I don't know the total history), I kept having service soon warnings and check engine type lights.  They changed both the BCM and ECM and my electrical related issues with the fuel calculator and warning lights went away.  When asked to look at the stall issue they said they couldn't duplicate it but that it might be related to the gear on the distributor that meshes with the cam shaft.  That seemed like a long shot to me.

Any suggestions?
