Cadillac Repair: 2 questions: 1992 Deville, jay larson, silicon spray

Question
Hello.  I have two quick questions.

1 - there is a squeaky sound that has developed after a winter of storage.  It sounds like a chirping squirrel and gets louder as you rev it up - also, it comes from the serpentine belt area.

2 - the trunk won't close completely and it seems that the motor that closes it shut is dead.  Where would you suggest I get a good used motor for this.

Thanks in advance for looking at my questions.  Jay Larson.

Answer
Hi,Jay.

Either you have a dryed out serp belt or a failing bearing or pulley, with the engine running spray some silicon spray lube on the belt to see if it gets quiet,i use WD-40 and that works good,if the noise is still there then it may be a bearing type noise and 9-10 its an alternator bearing that is making the noise.
The trunk pulldown switch is more than likly the cause of the trunk not closing, the switch is located at the pulldown motor and has a screw located directly on top and is easily replaced, this should cure the problem,it is still availible through cadillac dealer parts.if you need more help let me know. Thanks
