Cadillac Repair: IDLE HIGH, cadillac deville, several miles

I REPLACED AN ENGINE IN A 1995 CADILLAC DEVILLE 4.6 LITER
THE NEW ENGINE STARTS BUT IDLES VERY HIGH WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Answer
IF you hooked everything up correctly , Just drive the vehicle down the riad for several miles of city and highway driving so the computer gets a chance to re-learn where the idle speed is supposed to be at.

If this does not resolve your problem, You will have to replace the IAC or ISC motor whichever type of idle device your particular engine requires.
