Cadillac Repair: Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), vehicle speed sensor, vehicle speed sensor vss

I have a 1984 Cadillac Sedan Deville, 4.1 litre.  Please tell me where the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is located.  The day after a replacement of the oxygen sensor and the fuel filter, the  "Servcie Soon" light came on and the repair shop now says it is related to (code) the Vehicle Speed Sensor.  I would just like to make sure that the it is still connected.

The VSS is mounted on the backside of the instrument cluster and to replace it you have to remove the dash display assembly.



What CODES are you getting from the computer or what codes WERE you getting from the computer ?.

If the VSS was disconnected the check engine light would be ON constantly and the cruise control would not work.
