Cadillac Repair: I have a 92 Cadillac Deville..., crankshaft seal, cadillac dealers

Question
I have a 92 Cadillac Deville and I've had valve pan, oil pan, and intake gaskets, and distributor o ring replaced at a cost of $800, and I'm still losing oil. Any idea were my oil could be leaking. Thank you

Answer
Could be leaking from:

Rear main engine seal.
Timing case cover gasket and seal.
Front crankshaft seal.
Oil filter adapter plate base.
Could be leaking at any of the places that you had resealed due to a faulty repair.

They make an oil additive that illuminates a different color when subjected to a BLACK LIGHT device of which ALL cadillac dealers were provided with by the manufacturer that helps in tracking down exactly WHERE the leak is occurring.

In all my years with Cadillac engines, I have YET to see any Cadillac engine that did not have an oil leak somewhere.

If you can live with this small leak, I strongly suggest that you do so.
