Cadillac Repair: Turn signal problems, cadillac seville sts, cadillac seville

Question
I own a 93 Cadillac Seville STS. When i operate the turn signals without park or headlamps they work fine. When i turn on the other lamps and operate the turns signal for a left turn i will get a telltale of quick blinking. At the same time it will also have my brake lamps illuminating as if i had my foot on the brakes. It doesn't do this for activating the right turn signal. I would like to know your answer to my dilemma. thanks

The first thing I would check is all the light bulbs as one of the filaments within one of the light bulbs may be touching and is shrting against the other filament within the bulb.


Also if you had a bulb replaced recently and it is the wrong # bulb, This can cause this problem.
