Cadillac Repair: Electrical/Dashboard, cadillac seville, electrical line

While driving and occasinally when I start my 1994 Cadillac Seville STS(180K miles), the dashboard flashes off/on, and AC cuts off/on. The odometer surges to the highest MPH, although the car itself doesn't increase in speed. I'm hoping this isn't a major electrical problem and that perhaps replacing a fuse will due the trick (as it did before for another problem). Thanks in advance!!

What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made as an electrical  line may have been knocked loose. Look around in the area where work was performed.

It appears as though you have an intermittent electrical connection somewhere on the vehicle and finding it is not going to be easy.

Try manipulating numerous electrical connections to see if you can duplicate your problem.
