Hello!
 On my 1984 Cadillac El Dorado (2 door if it matters), the power window on the drivers side will no longer raise the window. It will still lower the window, and the control for the passenger side window still works fine. When the switch is puished to the raise position there is no 'resistance' on the switch. If there is no easy/inexpensive way to fix the window, I'd be very happy to simply lock the window in it's closed position. I have removed the inner door panel and tried to manually pull the window into it's closed position, but it is still locked into the mechanism, and I don't know how to raise it. Any help at all is very appreciated as it's supposed to rain in a day or so.
