Nissan Repair: 2002 Maxima SE, wire harnesses, putty knife

How do I install the window regulator and motor on a 2002 maxima se? It is the front passenger door.

Hi William -

Remove the door panel by prying the bottom off with a chisel or putty knife. Make sure you have it against the plastic snaps or you might damage the panel. Window should be down if possible.

The top of the panel is usually held by a couple of screws. Once it is all off, you can remove the panel, raise the window, and then access the wire harnesses for the window, light and door locks. Undo that and then you can access the window motor and regulator. They should be all 10MM bolts.
