Cadillac Repair: Wires to throttle positioner sensor cut!!!!, electrical schematics, cadillac sedan deville


Question
This a 1988 cadillac sedan deville, 4.5 engine with throttle body. A"RAT" cut the three wires going to the Throttle positioner sensor also three wires from throttle actuiator. I spliced the wires back but the car won't start.Help!!!!!!!                 Thanks , Roy

Are you referring to the ISC (Idle speed Control) motor on the opposite side of the throttle body from the TPS ?.


I can provide you with some pictures and diagnostic procedures to help you test these circuits.

What has probably happened is that you lost your 5 volt reference signal from the ECM. the information that I can provide you with will verify this.

If you can read electrical schematics and follow diagnostic procedures and use a digital volt/ohm metr I have the information and the expertsie to get your vehicle running.
