Question
Wonderful Helper!!

We can not get the blower motor to run from the panel inside the car. We can run a hot wire to the battery and the blower motor runs. We have replace a couple of things on the firewall related to the A/C. When we run the hot wire the A/C and Heat does not work. We can get the inside panel to change the blower from the windshild to the A/C vents. I have been looking everywhere for manuals or someone who can help us. We are willing to call anywhere on a Saturday if someone could help us. We have reach a point that we are getting tired of the problem. PLEASE, PLEASE help us.

Thank you for your time!!!

Susan

Answer
There is a single GREEN wire that attaches to the THERMAL TEMPERATURE SWITCH that is located either:

1. On the engine block in front of the right front cylinder head (passengers side) way down near the spark plug. You will need a flash light as it is recessed in a deep well. If you touch this wire with the ignition switch ON and the blower ON with a test light the blower will run.

You can either replace this switch or simply ground the wire to a suitable ground source.

What it dose is prevents the blower from running until the engine temperature gets warm so you don't get a blast of COLD air when you first turn ON the heater.

If you can't fin the switch here, Look on the opposite side of the engine back between the last 2 spark plugs naer the firewall down ON the engine block for this same green wire and do the same thing.

It is in one of the above said places.

let me know.
