Cadillac Repair: body repair, 2 nuts, underneith

Hello,

i would like to know how to take off the plastic panel covering the lower portion of the doors. i have a large dent in the driver side door. i know i can straighten the dent out if i could only peacefully take off the trim and panel.... i have a 1993 sedan deville 4.9L

Hi Justin, If memory serves there are 2 nuts on the inside edge one on each side that need to come off. Also check the bottom of the panel for any screws. If that is done then you should be able to push up on the panel from underneith and pull the top of the panel away from the door. There are some plastic clips that hold the panel in place and because of the age of the car I wouldn't be surprised if some broke and you needed to replace them. A body shop or Caddy parts department should have them in stock or be able to order them. Hope that helps. Bill
