Cadillac Repair: cadillac heater, ground source, spark plug

Question
Hi, i have a 1979 fleetwood brogham. The heater only
works on "def" and is very loud. any idea's
thanks

Answer
OK, There is a TEMPERATURE SENDER SWITCH that has a SINGLE wire attached to it and it is located next to the front spark plug closest to the radiator on the passengers side down in a recessed area in the cylindr head.

OR it may be on the drivers side of the engine screwed into the engine block about half way back towards the firewall and it also has a single wire attached to it.

What this SWITCH dose is to prevent any air flow into the passengers compartment until the negine warms up slightly.

You can either replace the SWITCH or take and GROUND the wire to ANT suitable meatl ground source.

IF you can't find it, Take several pictures of these areas and e-mail them to me and I will indicate it's location and e-mail the applicable picture back to you.
