Cadillac Repair: Instrument panel or Driver information center., cadillac seville, oil life

On my dashboard, the instrument panel or Driver information center,(where it tell you the temp outside, engine oil life etc...)  told me SNAPSHOT TAKEN.  I have had the 2000 Cadillac Seville for 3 years, and it has never told me that.  I have looked through my manuel and it says nothing about SNAPSHOT TAKEN.  WHat is that?  I was in the drive thru at McDOnalds.  What is SNAPSHOT TAKEN mean?

Apparently you accidently pushed a sequence of buttons that is for DIAGNOSTIC purposes for the technician to help in diagnosing IF you have a problem with the vehicle.

Just IGNORE it unless the display is continously displaying this message. If it is, let me know and I will tell you how to clear it.
