Cadillac Repair: dash display on brakes, cadallic sts, autohelp

Question
i change the front brake pad on my 2000 Cadallic STS and the display on dash says check brake pads.
I can't make this go away, any ideas?

Answer
You must have knocked the sensor loose at the bracket when you installed new pads or you may have gotten an air bubble in the hydraulic system.

Sometimes the light may go away on it's own if you have a good solid brake pedal and after the vehicle sits over night or is driven for awhile.

CAUTION: Driving the vehicle with the light ON can be DANGEROUS so be careful.
