NEVER EVER use ANY type of JUMPER WIRES on ANY electronics unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing as you can destroy other vital electronic components that are on the same circuit as the one that you are GUESSING at trying to fix.
Most ALL alternators on newer electronic vehicles are controlled by the vehicles COMPUTER system. By using your jumper wires, You have made a 50/50 possibility of damage to the COMPUTER.
Had you taken the alternator OFF the vehicle and taken it into any larger auto parts store, they have an alternator tester and would have tested it for FREE.
By using your jumpers, Now you have NO IDEA if you damaged the vehicles computer system.
