Cadillac Repair: AC/heating, nozzel, possability


Question
I have a 92, cad. deville. runs great. i bought it used. its in good condition. my question it:
my heater blower is blowing like crazy but the volume of are does not come out like it should.
its the same for the ac, blower is great but the volume of air is not delivered. also doesn't deliver the volum for defroster or the floor. it all heats up but doesn't come out the way it should. any suggestions? i would appreciate it.

Hi Jerry, What happens in this case is that the evaporator core gets plugged up. If you remove the 2 connectors from the power module that sits on top of the blower motor housing under the hood on the passenger side and look inside then you will be able to determine what is plugging things up. Then taking a vacuum cleaner or blowing the core out with air from a long nozzel blow gun might get the air flowing again. There is the possability that the doors are working against each other and the air is trapped in the ducts but start with removing the power module first. Hope that helps. Bill
