Cadillac Repair: 1990 brogham headlights, 1990 cadillac brougham, cadillac brougham

Question
Bill - The headlights on my 1990 cadillac brougham will occassionaly stop working, usually
after 3 or 4 stops at night - I usually leave
the switch where the lights come on automatically and no changing of the switch or attempted manual operation of the lights will work once they go out - the next day they work!?
 Thanks in advance. CBB

Answer
Hi CB, I would suspect a bad headlamp switch. To verify this once the headlamps quit working take a voltmeter or 12 volt testlight along with a wireing diagram and check the voltages at the switch. If voltage goes in but doesn't come out then the switch is bad. If the twilight sentinal doesn't work the headlamps should still work manually. Hope that helps. Bill
