THE PC HAS DETERMINED THAT DURING TESTING, THE FUEL SYSTEM FOR BANK 2 WAS TOO LEAN. (BANK 1 IDENTIFIES THE LOCATION OF CYLINDER #1, WHILE BANK #2 IDENTIFIES THE CYLINDERS ON THE OPPOSITE BANK).

What does it mean , who can fix it and at approximately what cost?
CADILLAC-CATERIA 2000

Answer
Hi Margaret, The lean code might be fixed by installing a new oxygen sensor. If the sensor is good then maybe a fuel injector is not providing the correct amaount of fuel into a cylinder or there is a vacuum leak in the engine intake manifold somewhere. Only through testing can it be determined where the problem lies and at what cost it will take to fix. Expect to pay 1 hour diagnosis time to find the problem plus pats and repair time as well. Eithor take it to the Caddy dealer or a shop that employs ASE certified technicians...look for the blue gear sign. Bill
