Cadillac Repair: Computer Reset?, computer reset, corrosion

I have a 93 Cad Deville, I took off my battery and now my car will not completely turn over (start), i think my computer have lost memory, i tried taking off the positive for five minutes bt that did not work for me, hope you have some advice thanks for your time

Hi Dee, Disconnecting the battery and then hooking it back up should allow the engine to start. If the cable wasn't tight enough or corrosion is on the cable then it might not start. When the engine starts it might idle faster than normal until the idle speed is relearned. How did the engine start and run before the battery was disconnected? Did it turn over at normal speed or slower? And why did you disconnect it? How fast does it turn over now or does it just click? Let me know if you need more help. Bill
