Cadillac Repair: 1991 Sedan Deville ABS, rear wheel speed, brake rotors

Question
I have a 1991 Cadillac Sedan Deville.  Recently the brake pedal will pulsate just before the car comes to a complete stop.  Not as soon as you step on the brake pedal but just before the car comes to a complete stop.  This does not happen everytime but after you drive the car for a while it will start.  Once it starts it does it every time (perhaps 15-20 stops) until the ABS light comes on and stays on.  After the ABS light stays on the brakes work normally.  When you shut the car off and restart it the next day the ABS light does not come on until the pedal starts to pulsate again. The car has 46,000 miles on it and spent most of its life in Florida being driven very little the last 4 years.

Answer
Hi Bill, If the ABS light comes on that is the place to start. Finding out what the code is could lead to repairing the pulse problem. The other possability is that the front brake rotors are wharped. But they should allow pulsateing all the time while braking and not stop after the light turns on. Get the codes read and you might have to replace the 2 rear wheel speed sensors. Bill
