Cadillac Repair: door ajar, latch assembly, cadillac deville

Hello, i have a 98 cadillac deville, and the door ajar message is on but no doors open,,,any ideas?

Hi John, GM put the switches inside the door as part of the latch assembly instead of the easy place to check by the hinges. It will require removeing door panels one at a time to disconnect the switch to determine which one is bad. I would start with the LF and then RF because those are used the most. Bill
