Answer
Hi Franklin, First off the central power supply and the BCM are 2 differant componants. One of the main jobs of the CPS is to provide power to light up the florescent displays. If you have a CPS that ends in 395 or 396 and the panels go blank then I would replace the CPS first. If you are getting strange readings then the BCM could be at fault. If would help to know if there were any codes stored and what the problems are specifically before advising on parts because both pieces are expensive and dealer only. You could get them from a junkyard/auto recycler to save the cost over new. There is also an Allante club that sends out repair tips and newsletters that might be of help in future inquireies. They advertise in the Hemmings Motor News magazine but they are probably on the web too. Let me know if I can be of more help. Bill
