Cadillac Repair: Brakes, brake caliper, torque wrench

Question
What tools are required to change the brake caliper on a 1988 Deville.

Answer
Hi Robert, An 11mm socket and ratchet to remove the brake hose bolt, 3/8" allen bit socket and ratchet for the caliper bolts. Might be a T50 torx bit if someone had to change the bolts. A 10mm box wrench for the bleeder screw and a torque wrench that reads 32 and 37 lbft. All sockets and ratchet and torque wrench should be 3/8" size or you will need an adapter for whatever size torqu wrench you are useing. Also remember that should you get brake fluid on the paint wash it off immediatly with soap and water because after 2-5 minuits the paint will start to blister. Brake fluid that gets on the brake pad, caliper and rotor can be removed with Brake Clean which is sold in an arisol can. This should be an easy repair. Bill
