yes my cadillac makes a ticking noise somewhere either inside the or right beside it. i thought it was the oil so i changed it but know it makes it even louder and it ticks while u drive it to what would be the problem
Answer -
Hi Carlos, What year and model do you have and what is the engine size? Bill

My cadillac is a 1990 sedan deville and i have a 4.5 in the engine.

Answer
Hi Carlos, If the noise got louder after changing the oil eithor the wrong oil was put in...should be 5W30 or 10W30...or you have a problem with the oil pump or the pressure that it is producing. You could remove the serpentine belt and run the engine to see if the noise is still there. If it is then have a shop check the oil pressure. If the noise is gone then try turning the different pulleys and see which one is making the noise. Hope that helps. Bill
