brake light fuse keeps blowing, and traction disabled comes on dash. can you help.i haven't had the car that long.but it runs fine and problem just started.

Answer
Hi Oren, Wireing shorts are kinda tough. You need a wiring diagram to see what things are on that circuit and start unplugging them one at a time until the short is gone. If a wire has rubbed through then disconnecting the harness at several places will help narrow down the location. Then you can just rewire that section if it is too hard to get at. What I use is a circuit breaker of the same amp rating in place of the fuse so it will keep resetting and you can go on traceing the short. It might be as simple as the wrong bulb installed in the brake light socket. You could get the codes read for the traction control and might lead you to the short or it could be unrelated. If you had any work done to the car and then this problem surfaced then recheck the work so that a wire wasn't pinched upon reassembly. Good luck. Bill
