Answer
Hi Rome, It sounds like the mechanic will have to go back into the trans or test the shift solinoids at the big round connector because it sounds like a wire was pinched or left unplugged at the 1-2 sol. Or pressure control solinoid is at fault. Code TCC0073 is a communication problem between the PCM -EBTCM TCS interface malfunction. In other words the computers can't talk to each other. There is a lengthly trouble tree of tests to narrow down the cause before parts are replaced. Removing the battery cable might clear all the codes but then you will need to relearn the idle. As far as resetting the trans I don't feel that clearing the codes will change anything because it is a problem with the parts and work you had done. Starting out your trans in second gear is hard on the engine and would make accelleration sluggish. Think back to your bicycle rideing days and if you didn't start out in a low enough gear how hard you would have to work. Well the engine would be the same way. The trans might not be affected but the engine would. Get that problem fixed soon and don't try to do any fast starts from a stop until it is fixed. Bill
