Chevrolet Repair: 2001 chevy surburban cluster

Question
My cluster has went dead. I replaced with several different clusters and it still does not work. I also had it checked at a mechanic shop and was told that he couldn't find the problem. Another shop told me that I needed to just have the cluster reset at the dealer. What do you suggest that I do to fix my cluster. Nothing on the cluster works at all. Thank you.

Answer
HI ROSALIE,,THIS COULD BE A RE-FLASH PROBLEM.RELEARN OF THE BCM..BUT IF I WERE YOU I WOULD TAKE THIS TO YOUR GM DEALER OR A SHOP THAT HAS GM SOFTWARE AND HAVE THEM CK THE BCM [BODY CONTROL MOUDULE]SEE IF THIS IS WORKING OK WHICH THEY WILL BE ABLE TO TELL WITH THERE SCAN TOOL CALLED GM TECH 2..THEY WILL BE ABLE TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY DATA WORKING IF NOT THE BCM HAS FAILED..THIS BCM CONTROLS EVERYTHING IN SIDE YOUR CAR...JUST ONE THING,,HAVE YOU CHECKED ALL OF YOUR FUSES INSIDE THE CAR. I KNOW THAT WAS A DUMB QUESTION BUT SOMETIME PEOPLE OVER LOOK THIS...GOOD LUCK TO YOU,,TOM
