Question
I have 79 cutlass supreme i replaced steering column and when i did turn signals do not come on but they are on outside the car and come on from dash the column that i bought had different harness so i cut harness off new column and wired in old harness from old column was wondering what to do i replaced flasher they do not blink inside or out of car a diagram would be great or which wire color to check for turn signals and it was wires on bottom of column i switched not top part of column.

Answer
William:
You cannot just cut wires and resplice them like that.  Different switches have different circuits in them.  Most likely the reason the turn signals re not working properly is because the switch inside the replacement column is wrong.  You will need to get a new turn signal switch for the original vehicle and install it into the replacement c
column.  Obtaining a wire schematic and attempting to rewire the wrong switch is just a waste of time and could cause a serious short elsewhere in the car.

Good luck
