Chevrolet Repair: Pcv valve hose, chevy camaro, pontiac firebird

Question
Hi it is me again. Today my neighbor was looking at my valve covers on the 1998 Z28 Chevy Camaro. I told holim I ordered the new gaskets and grommets for 24 dollars. He has a Pontiac firebird that is set up the same as our camaro. We were also talking about changing out the seals for the a/c. He started to look around when he noticed that the pcv hose had broke. In the back an up front. I not sure how the hose broke the way it did. I got the hose that was on the rear driver side valve cover. Off the problem I am having is getting the rest off the back behind the intake. I can reach it but I don't have the strength to pull it off. And it is hard trying to get to. I was wondering if you have ever done a pcv hose on a 1998 Z28 Chevy Camaro. It is a 5.7L V8 350 motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Answer
HI SEAN I WAS GETTING WORRIED ABOUT YOU,,,I HAVE DONE MILLIONS OF THESE HOSES.. THESE HOSE'S GET VERY BRITTLE AND VERY HARD FROM GETTING HOT AND COLD..THAT IS WHY THEY BREAK..THE BEST WAY TO REMOVE THEM IS WITH A RAZOR BLADE [UTILITY KNIFE] OR IF THERE IS ENOUGH ROOM CUT IT WITH A PAIR OF SIDE CUTTERS,OR GRAB IT WITH A PLIERS AND TWIST AND TUG IT AT THE SAME TIME.IT WILL COME OFF..IT MAY FEEL LIKE STEEL,, BUT IT STARTED OUT AS RUBBER..GOOD LUCK TO YOU, AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOU MAKE OUT,,,,TOM..
