Chevrolet Repair: 1994 s10, fuel pressure gauge, oxygen sensor

QUESTION: I have a 94 s10 every time I try to stay at a consistent speed its starts back firing a little and slows down other days the more gas I give it it will bog down and almost die it will idle all day long with no problems I have changed spark plugs new wires pcv valve new vacuum house just on top of the motor and cleaned my egr valve. Also when I get to a half a tank if gas it seems to do it more often its a 2.2l 5 speed and my gas mileage is terrible right now

ANSWER: HI NATHAN,THIS SOUNDS LIKE A FUEL RELATED PROBLEM. SUCH AS WEAK FUEL PRESSURE,CAUSED BY  POSSIBLY A BAD FUEL FILTER [PARTIALLY PLUGGED OR A BAD FUEL PUMP LOOSING PRESSURE. IF YOU HAVE A FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE CK TO SEE IF IT HAS ABOUT 35 LBS.IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A GUAGE THEN REPLACE THE FUEL FILTER ANYWAY AND HOPE FOR THE BEST. IF PROBLEM IS STILL THERE YOU WILL NEED TO GET THIS PRESSURE AND [VOLUME]CHECKED AT A SHOP ...HOPE YOU GET LUCKY AND IT IS JUST A FILTER PLUGGED..BEING THAT THIS HAPPENS AT THE SAME SPEED AND GET WORSE,SOUNDS LIKE A FILTER PROBLEM...HOPE THIS HELPS YOU,,,,,,,,,, TOM

QUESTION: I just finished changing my fuel pump and fuel filter and still the same results could this possibly be a coil pack? Plus I keep failing emissions for high hydrocarbons I have already put near 300$ in this truck and am getting very frustrated please help

HI NATHAN,,DID YOU CK FOR FUEL PRESSURE ??? IF THE FUEL PRESSURE WAS OK I WOULD NOT OF REPLACED THE PUMP...HOWEVER NOW THAT THIS IS DONE WE CAN ASSUME THE FUEL PRSSURE IS OK. YOU ASKED COULD THIS BE A COIL PROBLEM YES,BUT WE ARE GUESSING.. I KNOW ALOT OF THE PEOPLE I GET ON THIS SITE LIKE TO FIX THERE CARS THEMSELVES BUT,THIS IS EXPENSIVE TO GUESS. I WOULD LIKE TO HELP YOU BUT IN THIS CASE IT MAKE SENSE TO TAKE THIS TO A SHOP THAT CAN SCAN THIS PCM TO CK FOR DATA.THIS WUILL BE MUCH CHEAPER THEN GUESSING..YOU MAY HAVE SOMETHING LIKE A SHORTED OXYGEN SENSOR CAUSING EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF FUEL CAUSING EMISSION FAILURE AND SO ON..LET ME KNOW IF YOU GET THIS TRUCK SCANNED AND THEN WE CAN GO FROM THERE.
