Chevrolet Repair: Oil Pressure Reading, oil pressure gauge, instrument panel

My oil pressure gauge started jumping, would go to zero the to 20 pounds so I replaced the sending unit. It still does the same only it has even wider swings then it may go to zero or go to 20 pounds. I also put an AC oil filter on to see if that would solve the problem.

it would be helpful to have the year make model and engine.

That being said , do you hear ticking or knocking noise when the oil pressure
drops to 0 ? If you do it could be you really are losing oil pressure.

If you are not losing oil pressure , chevrolet has had problems with the
instrument panel on some vehicles (the reason i need vehicle information)
if yours is one of these , other panel fuctions will start to act up
eventually as well. the fix is to have the panel rebuilt or replaced.
