Question
my  92 chevy suburban 4x4 i turn headlights on and my truck starts to bog out wont go i turn them off it drives fine  also when i turn my turn single on my gages start moving withe it i have no clue where to start any ideas

Answer
Hi Tammy.... well when it's a wiring problem you basicly just have to start looking... i would start at the headlight switch...see if it is shorted out inside...if not trace the wires from the switch and see if you have any that are cut, frayed or rubbing on a ground...chances are problem is in the switch ...flux in the gauges could be a problem in the alt...if the regulator is kicking in and out when using the signals...put a volt meter on it.... alt output should be 14 to 14.5 volts and should stay steady when you turn on signals. if it bounces with signals on change the regulator in the alt, or install another alternator...wiring problems can be a nightmare...i hope this helps
