Chevrolet Repair: car is running hot, monte carlo ss, chevy monte carlo

Question
Hi mr.summers
I own a 1986 chevy Monte Carlo ss 5.0 liter 305 v8 vin code G. I have replaced the intake manifold, radiator, thermostat and checked all hoses for leaks and wear.Everything is in good shape. My fan clutch works, I bleed my radiator and my car runs great except it is running too hot. 200 -215 degrees and fluctuates in between there. Can you please help me? This is getting expensive!

Answer
Hi Jeremy.... did you check to see if you have good circulation thru the rad....if you don't check the water pump...did you try running a cooler thermostat...most cars run a 195 degree so car running right around 200 should be ok... you say clutch fan works, but does it really....maybe try changing the the blades...if yours is a three blade fan try a four.... blades unbolt from the clutch assembly...make sure that fan is running full out...(clutch engauged fully) when at operating temp... if not replace the clutch....hope this helps
